Our surfing holidays in Spain are focused around the region of Cantabria in Northern Spain, due to the lack of crowds, great weather and fantastic surf. Northern Spain is without a doubt, one of Europe's very best surfing zones. From the legendary lefts of Mundaka, to the perfect curls of Somo beach, Spain offers great waves for surfers of all levels. Thanks to the mix of great food, enticing culture and year-round waves, North Spain is another ‘must visit’ on any surfer's wish list.
La Hosteria, is run exclusively by Errant Surf Holidays, it is located in the village of Loredo. It is perfectly located a short walk from the ocean, the bars and restaurants. Jumping on a bike and exploring this area is a must. Backed by the impressive mountain range "Pico's de Europe" the endless green fields roll down the foothills, meeting the diverse and bountiful coastline of Northern Spain.

Loredo, and our guesthouse La hosteria de Latas is a place you can relax, or play as much as you want. If you have any energy after surfing all day then we can arrange for you; yoga, horse riding, golf, kite surfing, sailing, wind surfing, skateboarding, tennis, snorkeling, shopping trips to Santander or Bilbao city. We also recommend visiting the Zoo Cabarceno which is a big open drive-through park, a real must see.

Loredo, and the surf will suit all levels of surfers due to the nature and shape of this four miles beach. La Hosteria itself is a real melting pot for people from all over Europe, couples, surfers traveling on their own, families learning to surf and couples breaking away for a chilled surf holiday in Spain. A great place for everyone.
When to go?
The warm water of the Bay of Biscay allows for extended summer time surfing. The best time to venture out in the waves of North Spain is from March through to November, with only December, January and February being to cold. The surfing conditions in this area are super consistent, so even the smaller flatter months of the high summer, you can always find surf on this exposed coastline.
